December 11, 2007 Board Meeting Agenda Item #11 Title APPROVAL OF CONTRACTS FOR THE FACILITATION AND COORDINATION OF ONLINE ESOL COURSES Description Three of the eleven contracts for Susan Caldwell, are for ESOL courses that she facilitated and coordinated during Summer 2007.  Due to the fact that the bookkeeper for Professional Development Department transferred to another cost center, and a replacement was not hired for several months, payment of contracts was delayed and moved into the 2007-08 fiscal year.  Additional work hours are required to manage the multiple ESOL courses and course sections which are mandatory for teachers.  This has necessitated the issuance of multiple contracts to one employee.  Training of other personnel in the future to handle some of the course work.
